recording issues

Hi guys

Any ideas as to why anything I record is very "choppy" even on fta channels.

Have a zgemma h2s with a Samsung 2tb hdd connected.

Checked on the mount manager and it says usb rather than hdd would that be the problem?

Any help much appreciated

is it a hdd that is powered externally and what cam are you using?

Yeh external hdd and it's a mqdcam I think

Mgcamd and yes external hdd with usb and power plug

have you mounted the external hdd and it shows mounted ext3 - 4?

Ext 4 but shows as usb.
Downloaded a recording to my iPad and works fine just when I play on the box from the hdd

if having only one usb in use it would say usb,i have 2 usb ports in use 8gb stick for epg and 2tb externally powered for hdd.
how are you playing recorded stuff on hdd?
