Recording on the Zgemma H2H while still connected on Tivo box

I am leaving Sky and moving back to Virgin Media. I am currently interested in one of Zgemma boxes. I still want the Virgin box connected at all times so if I get the Zgemma H2H I would need a splitter for the Virgin. The question I am confused about is say if I am recording with all the tuners on the tivo box, would I still be able to record on the Zgemma cable turner at the same time seeing as they will be connected through a splitter? I know it's possible with recording on all the tuners on the tivo box and recording on the Zgemma on the satellite tuner.
