The Goodmans Sat receiver I previously used had a SCART output and I used that to record onto a Panasonic DVD/Hard drive recorder. But since changing to the Openbox V8S, its SCART output is not recognised. I use HDMI for watching satellite tv but I still want to use my DVD recorder for recording SD programmes.
The strange thing is that if the recorder is OFF (Standby) the SCART signal is sent through to my oldish Samsung Plasma TV and everything is normal! But when I switch it on so I can record a programme, I get a blank TV screen. So somehow the recorder does not recognise the output from the Openbox when switched on.
Any ideas? I've tried switching video resolutions and changing inputs and output options on the recorder. I plugged the scart directly into the TV. Blank screen.
