setting up VPN on Openatv

am using Wooshbuild 7 and trying to add a VPN.
i followed the guide on how to install and setup "openvpn plugin" on enigma2, (link below)
then when i go to select Menu\Setup\System\Network\Openvpn Setup on my zgemma that is when nothing happens.
I press green button to start the VPN 'nothing happens',
“auto start is enabled, current status stopped",
if I repeatedly pressed green button about 4 times it starts running then it’s stops again after a few seconds, just won’t stay green’
Is there a solution ?

Who's your VPN with? I could not get it working with IPVanish but could with PIA - same process

I also have the exact same problem! Did it ever get solved?

Nope. Tried IPVanish on various OpenATV images on different boxes. PIA does work however
