Sky at night

Hi all

With having a little interest in astronomy myself and with the recent sky at night specials on TV a few weeks ago with Professor Brian Cox, my daughter got a little intrigued with the vast open space that we earthlings dwell in, Ive been going through a few of the famous consellations and visible to the naked eye planets with my daughter.

There a endless types of sky charts and maps that can help you locate these somewhat beautiful planets and stars, nevertheless some are quite complex and confusing to kids.

I came across a great app that you can download that as some great features. By entering your own location, as well as any location in the world, it shows you in real time what is in your window of sky. If a particular star you see one night fascinates you you can literally find it on this app which in turn gives you all the information you want from the name of it to how far away it is. A real must for young learning kids.

Enjoy this great planetarium
