A post made by OggyUK on xbox-scene and team xecuter forums displays his frustration at members constantly bombarding both forums and IRC channels about the whereabouts of firmware for the 0225 drive which is currently still in testing.

Ok, so you wanted the fw,

You wanted it last month, its been in testing for weeks/months, right?

Now....

The unlock PCB's were not ready, so thats why it wasn't released ....

c4 could have released it for 9504 ages ago,

So .... Here's what the beta testers had to do with the console

Maximise it to see 0225 acknowlegement in JF / My sexy legs

This was ironed out on the 24th, so now its only '6 days' into testing this fw.

I'm sure you would all love to have to so this with EVERY disc.

I wouldnt normally show results of a beta test, but here it is......

Here's why your fw isnt ready for public consumption.

Now, do us all a favour, quit your ****ing whining and let the team get on with what they have to do.

The video demonstrates how, after flashing the drive, how the xbox has to be unplugged with the tray open and then plugged back in again.
As everyone would agree, there is no point in releasing firmware when it is still in testing, especially having to do something like this to play a game by unplugging and plugging in your console all the time.
