i am 62 and love it

grow up mate , ffs lmao

Funny looking back through your pointless wast of space forum posts most of them are crap Christmas cracker jokes that no one seems to find funny. Maybe Johnnym aint the one who needs to grow up.

I can't even believe you seem to have a problem with people liking star wars. Think you should invest in a one way ticket to North Korea... You'd find lots of like minded people there and maybe even a couple of friends. Each to their own if we all liked the same things the world would be a boring place.

I'm not a huge fan of star wars but its clear to see where the nostalgia comes from for a lot of people. You might need to Google that term as you probably don't know what it means.

honestly mate, its for kids , thats all im saying , i cant work out how adults queue up for this in fancy dresslol, each to there own, its comical to me though ;-), i just don't understand it whatsoever, sorry

I wouldn't say the original Star Wars trilogy is for kids. Empire was very dark.

The prequels - yea, I can see how the Phantom Menace is very much a childs film, but the overconvaluted plot wasn't. George Lucas was certainly right to walk away from this.

The Force Awakens was aimed at new audiences and old - young and old. There's enough there for obvious nods back to the original trilogy and wisely avoiding the mistakes of the prequels. My girlfriend who is 43 and isn't really a Star Wars fan really enjoyed The Force Awakens.

Also, not sure how murder, genocide and torture (all present in The Force Awakens) can be deemed a 'childrens' film.

really enjoying seeing the harmy editions of the original trilogy - as well as the recently released 'grindhouse' versions of the ot too (both as we saw the films at the cinema back in in the day - before all the special edition changes - and the other changes Lucas has made down the years)
