strange noise

Hi,i have a vu solo2 genuine box running iptv on it for about a year now,but just a couple of days ago it has started to make a high pitched sound from the box,has anyone encountered this problem before??

Do you have a hard drive in the box m8 as it could be that ??

Yes i do,thanks for reply,think ill pop the lid off and see if i can disconnect and see.

Someone on another forum said that the sound appeared to be coming from the internal power board but there was no update as to what it was.
Obvious things are fan and hdd as wullboy said.

if box is powered off at rear for a min or 2 and then on does the noise start when hdd is starting to spin,no noises from mine yet

High pitch has went off now,switched off and removed hood switched back on and nothing LOL,just have to keep an eye on hdd and fan to start with i think.Thanks for replys guys!!
