Toshiba laptop wireless card...

Hi all. I have a Toshiba Satellite C50-A-1DV laptop
...long story short-have an Zyxel VMG 8924-B10A router and have had issues with the laptop not being able to see my 5Ghz SSID on the network.
After further digging it seems that my wireless card is simply not up to the job as it can only deal with 802.11b/g/n and this router utilizes 802.11a/n/ac on the 5Ghz band.
My question is, does anyone have some pointers as to what wireless card would be compatible and where to buy it?
Many thanks for your time.

If this is the router you mean, then it says it does support both 5GHz and 2.4GHz, it just needs to be switched on in the router settings:
thanks for the reply...the router seems fine and it's enabled in the settings and is illuminated on the display...the issue is with the laptop wireless card support itself, so it's that which I have to upgrade to a more modern card it seems.

...upon more searching it seems that an 802.11a/n/ac wifi dongle into the lappy could be the go! :woot:
