USB Port

Hi folks,

quick q, as the box only has 1 usb port and if it was being used by a wi-fi bridge such as the vonets could a usb splitter be usedso that an external hard drive could be fitted? has anyone tried this?

anyone out there using wireless and recording at same time? if so are you using a splitter? don't know whether to buy a usb splitter of just a direct power supply for the vonets.

another alternative is to use the hotplugs instead of a wireless bridge, i dont think the splitter would work tbh

homeplugs work fine, I use them, don't no about sharing a USB port
haven't heard of anyone else doing it

A USB splitter will work yes but the hard drive must have its own power source. Tried it on my own with a fast USB thumb drive. The drive kept disconnecting. Used a USB external and worked no problem as the vonets only uses power and no data.
