Using the same line on 2 boxes causes crashing?

I'm pretty sure that when I use my line on one box it's pretty much freeze free. However when I have it active on 2 boxes I get frequent freezing. Every minute or so it crashes for 10-15 seconds. Could this really be a result of having the line running on 2 boxes on the same network?
 
Have you asked provider if you can have 2 connections at the same time?

It could also be that you don't have enough signal from cable to use on 2 boxes does it happen on FTV cable channels? I.e. 1 to 5 SD

I will check the FTA channels. With regards to the 2 connections my provider offers multi rooms plus I don't use recordings so it shouldn't be an issue. It could well be I don't have enough signal from cable. I have 2 Tivo boxes and 2 Zgemma's in my house.
 
Have you tried disconnecting the 2 tivo's and run the 2 zgemma's and see how it performs then.
You may well end up having to run a powered hdu with such a big load on your incoming signal etc
