Utorrent Issues

Apologies if this isnt the right forum for this topic.
I have been having speed issues with Utorrent for a couple of months now. I cannot download any files faster than 800kbps despite being able to receive 8mbps from my ISP. I always figured that it was my ISP's fault.
But after doing some research today I have found through Windows task manager that Utorrent is using 7+mbps of my bandwidth.
So why is my download speed on 1/10 of this?

Any help would be appreciated.
 
Are you sure you didn't accidentally set your download speed to 800kbps in the settings or the tabs at the bottom of the screen? Have you tried uninstalling and re-installing the program? Also you could try running the set up guide in the options.It tests your router settings and lets you know if there is any problems.
 
I now believe that it is my mistake. I did not realise that there was a difference between KB/s and KBPS. So my 6.8MBPS converts into roughly 700kbps on uTorrent. Although I am not happy that I am paying for Fibre optic speeds and only getting this. But thats another battle with plusnet
