Thames valley police in Tilehurst Reading have seized over 60 set top boxes in a joint operation with V Media and the entertainment and leisure software publishers association.
The raid comes as V Media attempts to stop the modification of its equipment.
The boxes seized could have been used to view content without having to pay for it.
The police say that modifying a set top box is a serious offence, under the copyright, designs and patents act.

According to V Media, it takes the matter of modifying set top boxes very seriously indeed, and will work with all the police forces around the UK TO PROSECUTE individuals connected with this kind of fraud.

Following the raid on the persons home, a 25 year old man from Tilehurst, Reading, was arrested on suspicion of defrauding V Media.
He has been bailed until 6th of October.
