Virgin VPN

Hi guys,

Looking to get a virgin sub, running on a zgemma h2h box. As i already have virgin Broadband, do i require to run my lines through a vpn, so that virgin can't tell im using a box?

They won't care enough to do anything to you. It's the providers they tend to go after.

Apologies for what will probably be a simple question, but where would you rename the box?

MENU > SETUP > SYSTEM > NETWORK > MOUNTS SETUP > MOUNT MANAGER > CHANGE HOSTNAME

i have now setup OpenVPN on the box and it's running as expected.

personally i wouldnt worry about VPN, as others have said they are after providers. Just change Hostname and be good to go. Some suppliers dont like VPN's.

turn the superhub into a modem and use a 3rd party router, i wouldn't want virgin to be snooping into the devices on my network.

I agree have done just that and use a tp link 3200 excellent wifi no drop outs just perfect hi speed internet ;)

virgin will only look in to your broadband if they see a fault but like most say change name to summit like ps4 or nowtv
