Virmin Noob Question

I've been using a Sly sub but obviously with the channels situation am looking at alternatives. Am in ROI and used to have UPC broadband (which Virmin bought out) so the connections are still there but actually use Sly broadband now. Does the VM connector need to be "live" for me to use a Virmin Sub or should it be good to go?

vm line would need to be live to scan for channels and would prefare their bb.

They dont always disconnect at cabinet in street, so may still be live, you would need a cable box to check

If I got a test line and connected my ZGemma to the box, that would show me right?

You could do it without a line, using a channel like BBC One (non he/local area) since they are unencrypted

think only the customer channel and rte are in the clear not like uk 1-5 as he is in ireland
