VLC player on fire stick

Hello All
Sorry to ask again as lost my previous post?
Trying again to load VLC player but having no joy, can't even see it
Do i need an xtra app to load it or has it gone off
Got downloader so i guess an apk would help

there is some sort of dispute between videolan and amazon... videolan have a new version of vlc, but amazon wont allow it until a bug in the old one is fixed... videolan say they are not going to fix a bug in the old version as it is fixed in the old one and have withdrawn it from the app store.... or something like that, its complicated
I downloaded the apk and sideloaded it

I normally download via downloader on f/stk
What would the apk for the vlc on that please

The reason i wanted vlc was, as ive used some apps for vod /iptv
Its requests how to play & what player. Obviously no player/ no play
I was just familiar with vlc, however just loaded gse/ perfect player & opening vod is playing via these options
So i guess i can use these also

Hii guyz, above discussion I'll look them over either way can someone tell me what version the mx player is the right one for a firestick
 
This is sort of related. If you are looking to side load app onto fire stick/tv install an app called Apps2Fire on any android device, you can then install what ever app you have on that android device onto the fire tv/stick

I havent got android but just seen it and see how it works on samsung device, very good, at the moment vod are playing via gse, so all good
