VM Cable

This may sound like a daft question to some but i was just wondering, i have a sub with VM at the moment for the full package and was wondering, i have a zgemma H5.2tc, if i connect it to my cable then do a channel scan, would i get all the channels or just the channels which i subscribe to or would i need to subscribe to a CCcam line to get the channels.
Help would be appriciated.

You would only get sd channels 1 - 5 without a line.
