VM Modem Clone

Hey,

I remember a good number of years ago you was able to clone a Modem (motorola) and put a new MAC Address on it so you could get free VM Broadband. Is this still possible or have VM manage to stop such a thing from happening?

If so is there any gudies around that i can have a read through as i used to do this around 10 years ago but iv forgot everything and need to re-jog my memory.

I believe DOCSIS 3 put and end to this.

you used to flash with custom firmware from likes of tcn-iso via a j-tag and login to modem and change MAC from different segment of the network.

i am not sure we are allowed to discuss this stuff if not please delete.
