Can I use this plugin to stream to my mobile device outside of my house?

No. Only works for VU boxes. (well I can’t get it to work with other boxes)
Try the app called en2Player.
Make sure if you are accessing your box from outside your network you do it securely. I.E don’t open ports on your router.

Ok will check it out, surely it’s secure to forward ports as long as the login for the box is complex

I tried on a dm800 many moons ago and failed. Have to use dynamic dns to keep track of your IP etc
