VU SOLO

Hi, my mate has one of these and wants to know how to set it up to record. He is just using it as a freesat box at the moment, but probably iptv, further downline.

Its an older box now unless you mean its a solo 2? I quick google search says external hdd only so you would have to probably use a usb stick or usb hdd. Then initialise it in the menu system and once its reconized you should be able to record from the remote. With iptv guess you would have to try it and see if it works.

Sorry, solo 2 and has a built in 500gb hard drive

So he should just be able to push the red button on the remote and it should record. If he has a 7days epg installed you can set timers from the 7days epg. This is unless the hard drive is not seen but I think if he pushed menu, then about device it should come up if with a hard drive is installed.
