Watching Movies using front USB

Hey Y'all.

I wonder if anyone can help me. I have looked through the forum but could not find any thread on this. Apologies if it's been covered.

I have some moves (avi) on a usb stick.

If i put this in the front (I am using rear for recording etc.), how do I get the box to show the files on it and play them please?

When u insert the drive does it say anything on screen?
What image u using?
If vix easiest way is
Menu
Plugins
Dreamexplorer
Media
"Ur USB"
 
PS dont reboot box with anything in front usb. Can change paths and mounts.
If ur file loads but freezes straight away, remove USB, reboot, reinsert and try again. Some sort of cache seems to cause on playing external files and streaming. Reboot fixs for both

Best plugin to watch movies off usb stick

Is there any other plugin that can be used other than dreamexplorer on openatv as it seems to be buffering all the time ?
