What are markers on recordings?

Hi all,

What are markers on recordings?

I know you can use '0' to set a marker but why on some are recordings markers set automatically?

Any help much appreciated.

I think they are resume points so if for instance u press stop during a programme then go back to it at a later time it asks if u want to resume or start from the beginning again.

Yeah I thought so too just strange on some recordings it produces markers automatically even before I've started watching it..

I think the markers that it creates are for the actual program start and finish times so if you have a recording set for 1pm and you have it configured to start recording 3 mins early the first marker would be for the actual start time of 1pm. If that is the case the second marker it auto sets would be the end time.
