The H2 is the older model of the H.2H, isn't it?

See this is where I get confused my bro in law (don't see him often so can toook at his) has a zgemma star h2 (green text on front) and he says he has cable and sat input. Looking at the image of the box there's only 1 lnb so how does he use both. This is the one he says he's got except the front writing is green.

    http://www.zgemma.co.uk/zgemma-star-h2

Then the h2s is satellite only despite having 2 lnb. If my VM line wasn't connected then this would have been the only option.

So is the h2h cable only? If so then obviously that's not for me as I want to connect both sky and virgin.

So what device will actually allow me both sky and virgin?

Ste I was surprised as well, but I suppose that's how people get the chipped virgin modems, MAC address is cloned from a device authorised on the network.

H.2H is satellite and cable but only one tuner for each like the H2.

Obviously 2 sky tuners means pause record etc. So if I have virgin channels I then lose the option

Well not quite. You can pause and record with the H.2H but you can only record a virgin channel while watching a sky one, or the other way around. You can pause and rewind regardless as long as it's set up to do so.

Go for the Zgemma, easy to setup and plenty of support on here

You say they're easy to set up, but all enigma2 boxes are exactly the same (well, there or thereabouts) to set up depending on the image used.

Zgemmas may have more backup images floating about online, granted, but that's only because they're cheap. Nothing to do with ease of use compared to others.

f connector to rf or a f to rf lead if you don't plan on using an existing lead - are you going to be using an existing cable lead? ... if not, you'll need the splitter too - probably says it somewhere in this thread but cba reading back haha :D

Depends on the box as some just screw into the tuner (technomate I think are like this) and some models split internally so if you've just got the minimum tv package to keep the feed live you don't need to split for some.

Does a external hard drive work for recording? Got a 2tb I used to use on my Xbox.

Looks like I need to get a new USB stick then for the flashing.

Depending on the setup you want. I have a backup image that swaps the dead sky hd channels with virgin hd channels so you only need one set of bouquets.

You can flash wooshbuild or bioheads bacups and have 2 sets of bouquets.

As for skins that's entirely up to you. You can use sky or vm skins and they still will work

    Bouquets?

So basically yours then is pretty much sky and replaces the non hd channels with virgins? Or am I mistaken.

As a noob what u recommend? And is there a actual guide to do it so I know what to do

    Thanks bud

Yes it shows sky bouquets and replaces the dead hd channels with virgin.

Depending on what you want have a look here http://www.techkings.org/forums/zgemma-star-h-2h.467/ install my image if you want one set of bouquets guide included or bioheads image if you want both sky and virgin bouquets you'll just need to enable the sat tuner and setup sky in autobouqetesmarker

Cheers lol looks a bit complicated I'll have a go in a bit. Can I set it up first without purchasing a gift or do I need that ready from the outset. Was gonna set up then add the gift.

This is the item number I been looking at on fleabay. 332151605182
