My EPG Yesterday was showing the same program on every channel?

I tried the things I could think of I.e Downloaded EPG File again, restarting box.

Anyone any ideas or had the same issue?
 
I was having EPG issues, some blank listings no matter how many updates I did, and the EPG update process itself would take well over an hour to complete, I then found the attached document on another forum, changed my settings and wow what a difference, turn off all other XMLTV etc and just use the OPENTV provider, downloads in less than 5 minutes and navigation within the EPG is much quicker too.

i have mine working now i didn't have cable connected to second tuner so that needed disabling, and then followed the info in the above post
 
Mine is doing the same just downloading fta stuff for some reason using Crossepg mpockets openatv and dual feeds - tried above doc but still not good
 
If u want atv that works try mtpockets version posted. If not I have working vix in dl section of cloud ibox.

Its usually caused by having two tuners configured but not connected, are you sure both the cables from your lnb/dish are good and the connections to the receiver good and secure?

Your still using XMLTV settings too, you need to switch them off when using the document I posted above, you can tell if its configured right as the update process takes 5 mins as appose to 1 hour 20 ish that your log shows
 
how to disable xmltv?

Hi boobishabang, how exactly does one disable xmltv, in my list there are 4 providers but none are ticked. only thing ticked on any of my lists is "SKY UK OPEN TV Astra2 28.2" * CrossEPG starts to download and stops at 488kb for about 5 mins * then is says "reading summaries" and read goes from 0 up to 1.94 mb and stays like that for about 10 mins * then it goes back to the crossEPG default screen. * when I exit out and restart the box - there is no EPG info loaded at all! both Tuners attached and set to simple astra 28 configuration. I have tried it with one connected to each tuner also but it still does not work, I have 3 of these boxes and it is the same on each of them, I also did an complete software update on one of the boxes and it still does not work on that one. Is there any alternative to cross EPG? - I dont think it is going to work with these boxes. (thanks in advance for your help)

I've just had the same issue again with all my channels showing the same program had to delete my cross epg folder from my hdd and reboot and everything's back to normal.. The folder on the hdd must be somehow becoming corrupt
 
I could only get it to work using the vix image by sucmnsee so have switched to that and have had no problems all channels populated
 
Make sure your USB drive was initialised and converted to EXT4. If you switch off your box at night updates to EPG and ABM will fail. Also make absolutely sure if you have both tuners enabled you have two coax cables connected from the lnb on the dish to the box and you know that both definitely work (easiest way to test to have set as just one tuner and just have one cable plugged in then turn off power and swap cable). Sorry if I'm teaching you to suck eggs but tuner setup or coax cable/connection issues are the only time I have seen this before.....

If all above ok try uninstalling the crossepg plugin

Delete the crossepg folder from the /usr folder on your box and from your storage devices, reboot and reinstall crossepg then set up as per below if you'd be so kind.....

XMLTV providers - enable Rytec UK XMLTV
OpenTV providers - enable Sky UK OpenTV(Astra2 on 28.2)
XEPGDB providers - enable Rytec UK (XEPGDB repacked)

Under provider start order....
Sky UK OpenTV(Astra2 on 28.2)
Rytec UK XMLTV
Rytec UK (XEPGDB repacked)

Then rescan with autobouquets maker
Then CrossEPG, Download now
This may not be the correct way - but it works and I couldn't give a stuff if it takes an hour or more to do as it normally happens automatically overnight!!

Please post back if you have any joy or otherwise!
