As far as I can see the current set up on this box is http with no login authentication. I want to change this to https with login authentication. To be able to do this I need to know what web server is being used and where the web pages (e.g. webif pages) are located. My aim is to set up remote access, not to stream but to set up timers. Any information please? :-)

Thanks for the replies guys. The plugin saves a bit of work so that's great!. I do intend to forward ports on the router but, before that, I need to do some other stuff. I still need to know what web server is used on this box and where the pages are stored. I am more familiar with Apache web server and a Debian based OS. I need to change the https port from 443 to something else. I also need to get a firewall working on the box. I did try the firewall plugin but during the install it threw up errors - so that's another problem to solve.
