Zgemma H5.2TC

Hi Guys, gentle with me, still finding my way round this lovely little box.

How do I play videos from my Synology NAS on my H5.2TC?

I can do it my TV so I know it's capable.

It's all hooked up on LAN as I can access it using OpenWebif.

Using WB7.

TIA

Thanks for reply Willo3092.

All ok until I highlight Synology001 and press "OK" nothing happens. If I press "OK" on any of the others I get asked for a password. Have tried Rescan. Not sure why Synology001 isn't responding?

This is how my shares are set up:

Username & password are on the next page.

I have then changed the green and yellow buttons in the movie browser to point to my NAS shares:

I can't even get that far. Preesing "OK" on the highlighted Synology001 does nothing. I have Rescanned several times!

You could also set it up manually by editing and copying the attached automounts.xml to /etc/enigma2/
This is for 2 shares, MOVIES and TV. If you're only mounting one share delete the other entry.

<?xml version="1.0" ?>
<mountmanager>
<fstab>
<cifs>
<mount>
<active>True</active>
<hdd_replacement>False</hdd_replacement>
<ip>192.168.0.4</ip>
<sharename>TV</sharename>
<sharedir>Server1/TV</sharedir>
<options>rw,utf8</options>
<username>**********</username>
<password>**********</password>
</mount>
</cifs>
</fstab>
<fstab>
<cifs>
<mount>
<active>True</active>
<hdd_replacement>False</hdd_replacement>
<ip>192.168.0.4</ip>
<sharename>Movies</sharename>
<sharedir>Server1/Movies</sharedir>
<options>rw,utf8</options>
<username>**********</username>
<password>**********</password>
</mount>
</cifs>
</fstab>
</mountmanager>

You then need to fully reboot the receiver and then go into mounts.
Press OK on your mount and then green to save.
Ignore the 'this mountpoint already exists message'

Ooh that looks interesting, I'll give that a try later. Thanks Willo3092 for all your help. Much appreciated.

OK tried that. Mount now shows up in Mount Viewer but not in File List under storage devices. I've gone wrong somewhere but not sure?

The mount has a red star on it meaning it isn't mounted.

Press OK on your mount and then green to save.
Ignore the 'this mountpoint already exists message'

When you press OK on the mount and it says 'this mountpoint already exists, do you want to overwrite it?' click yes or ok.
Failing that, I don't know, it may be an issue with the share.
Those settings work fine with my Synology.

Make a system backup of your Wooshbuild and copy to PC.
Try my build in downloads (which I know works).
This will rule out the enigma2 side of things.

Right. I rebooted the NAS as my TV wasn't working and guess what. All ok.

Thanks so much for your help.

If I hadn't of tried the TV I would never have found out. Technology eh.

Thanks again.

Graham.
