Zgemma S2, Openwebif & VLC

Hi all,

Hope I have left this in the right place on the forum.

Thanks to the helpful posts on this site I have now got Openwebif running and working on my Zgemma S2 and can view tv using VLC.

I however have one issue I can not work out how to sort.

If I access Openwebif through 192.xxx.x.xxx I can view tv, however if I access Openwebif through the hostname I have set up on no-ip.org it goes to the Openwebif site as usual, but the stream then fails to open in VLC.

Any ideas?

I unblocked the port and can access the openwebif page from outside the network and see my channel list etc so don't think it is a port issue.

Will have another go this week and let you know how I get on.
 
I have input dynamic dns setting on my router.

I can actually "screen capture" what is on my tv from external network, can change channels etc but have a problem with streaming as it won't open.

Back to the drawing board - I will get this to work!

I said I would get there and I now have!

The port for streaming was set to a different one than I had for accessing the box - hence screen capture being ok but not streaming. Have just tested the external link on my phone and all seems to be working.

Would really appreciate if you could help me in setting up my zgemma box so I can accesss it away from home.
