Hi peeps

Is it possible to change the default root password on a S2 ?

Reason is I want to be able to access my parents S2 remotely, don't like the idea of leaving it the password as password !

the password is actually anything you wish to type in that box until you edit it. blank, password, fartface, they will all work ;)

to edit your password you need to telnet your box.

to easily do this google - PuTTy telnet.

Download and run that.

typy in your ip, select telnet

open

type in your username: root

type passwd

enter your new password
confirm your new password

So it is just like Linux .. Was not sure if anything else ran under / with the root password
