Hi,
Firmware was updated by accident by my father in law. so my question is what do i need to do? my guess is re-install image and add line and i should be good ya?

Real question is, was the previous image openVIX or openATV?

I've heard that if your on openVIX then you update the box can be bricked.

before you do anything, make sure you have the line.

once you have that, go ahead and reflash the image (whatever you was using before)
when its all set up again turn off the auto updates maybe worth setting up the parental controls so he doesn't accidentally update again lol

I would reinstall everything following Wooshbuild. Re add lines to cam using Cam importer use C: if using clines. one line or more I use 3.
It is important to follow the sequence so if you are new read first.
