Zgemma USB storage problem

Hello,

New user here, I'm Daniel.

I have a zGemma Star 2S box and I'm having a problem with storage above 8gb.

8GB stick works fine.
Anything above 8GB doesn't.

Example:
132GB stick.
Formatted.
Initialised.
Rebooted.
Recorded small program.
Reboot.
USB stick wiped?
USB unrecognised?
USB to be reinitialised?

Annoying problem as 8GB doesn't give much storage. Help would be appreciated.

I'm technical but not with this box.

Have you done the "convert ext3 to ext4"?

Well if you paid anything under £25 for it, i,e you paid £5 on ebay, its probably a fake usb. It will report its 128gb/132gb but will actually be an 8gb or 16gb flash stick.

Yeah, I've done

Format on PC to FAT32
Plug in, turn on.
Initialise, convert ext3 to ext4
Restarted, file system not recognised, I bought it from local PC store

Format to NTFS and initialise it.

Update; I went to buy another USB to rule out anything, this time I got branded, a Kingston. It works fine now, thanks all for advise :)

I was thinking... 132Gb? I've heard of 128 lol

[emoji23] it was 128, my mistake it works fine on pc/Mac but not on the zgemma, I'll just stick with branded for that
