Can you explain where you ftp the ipk to and how you are trying to install it
 
I tried to update wooshbuild v5 to v7 from the wb configuration all I got is freesat, tried reflash again at the end of it I got a message download failed!! http error 404: not found

V7.002 is mainly a freesat build you need to change settings from within wb-config app to what you want
 
it goes to the freesat skin after reflash mine did same black screen I just press number 1 channel on remote and channel came on then I just restored my settings as I use metrix skin
 
What I should have mentioned was that when I tried to update using wb configuration near the finish it didn't show the nice features it showed the Wooshbuild logo on fire and a brick wall and black and white freesat.
I am using Zegamma star 2s.
Looking at what I posted it looks like a load of crap lol
 
Not sure re second bit but was advised above to hit blue button and scroll to plugins. You can install from there. The latest ipk worked for me.

I FTP to the temp folder then restarted the box and looked in the instll local ext but the file although transfered successfully didnt appear in there, i ended up using ver 2.06 and that went across fine.

Ok no worries. You can update v2.06 to v2.10 via the menu button in the app

I actually use the CEC so i only need to turn the Box on and it turns on my soundbar and TV and when i turn the TV off it turns off the soundbar and box, i did change one of the settings in there but cant remember which.

FTP isn't really needed. You can just use your windows network on your computer to copy files to and from the box and USB device.

I just copy IPK files to my USB device on the box and then it is always there for later us. Then use the IPK install from the blue button. I have said this many time but I haven't used FTP since the day I saw my box on the network.

Everything you can see and do in FTP just much quicker and no different to copying to and from a USB stick.

Most openATV image have the samba (Windows network share) installed as standard, some don't. WooshBuild always has samba installed so finding your box on the network should always work. If it doesn't then it could be a network or Windows config issue.

hi, im having trouble getting openvpn to stay running for more than a few seconds, this was working fine for a month or so (ipvanish as provider), yet now it keeps stopping within a few seconds of being started.

not much info around regarding this problem, apart from a TUN/TAP application problem that is potentially missing.....?

is this fixable, or will wooshbuild only work with the built in vpn program going forward?

I use windows network to Wooshman, quickest and easiest way to move a backup from box to a computer for safe keeping
