Hi Boys & Girls,i'm new on here so please bare with me.I've been having some intermittent problems with an old f3 box.One day i'll have all my channels and the next only get FTA.I've contacted supplyer and says line is fine.Checked all cables etc,line is showing active,turned of dhcp and back on,rebooted box loads of times,but only getting FTA.The firmware is 2012,do you think this could be the problem.Many thanks Rob
 
2013/03/28SKYBOX F5 F3 M3 - Upgrade YOUTUBE, Weather,Fix SAT List. That is the latest firmware update for the f3 box from the skybox website. If you got to skybox.cc download it there It might be the cause of your problems the out of date firmware thats were i would start. Have you updated channels recently??

Hi thanks for the quick reply,yes I have updated the channel list many times,but still the same.I'll take a look on the skybox website.Many thanks Rob
 
Right ok,been on skybox site and down loaded the firmware,i an see it on the stick but when I put it into the box,nothing shows or happens.Bloody hate this techy stuff,i even downloaded the RS232 file and that don't work either.Any idea what im doing wrong.Cheers all.Rob
 
Update from Network was not current last time I tried it.
Better off using the latest CWAITES list from cdub74 off this site.
 
There are no further upgrades for the F3---80% of F3's were clone boxes anyway---if your box will not accept files from SkyBox | SkyBox then it's a clone or on its last legs and you need to upgrade to a new box---if you are not tech minded then pm me for details of new box or pm benijofar who can also advise you on a cheap alternative.

If you ever find out why you were only ever getting the FTA could you please let us know, I am sure my previous reply to your thread was removed.
 
Ok,sorted my f3 box now ,and have all my channels back.My line was showing all ok and I had FTA channels only,so I plugged an old sky box in and showed no signal,so I thought the sky box was knacked,tested it in lounge and full signal , ladders out messed with LNB connections and bingo full signal in dining room,searched for all channels and everything up an running.But what I cant understand is, there was no sat signal on sky box but I could still pick up FTA on my F3 ????
