They just send you an invite to join a family plan, so you can use your own Google account and don't need to give out any login info.

That's ideal, I know some ask for logins.

I think they have pretty much closed this loophole. They do address verification on the payment system to confirm it's from the country being signed up to. This is a paid service offered by companies that process electronic payments

You can try using thr brave browser, it supports media playback when off the browser and can also block ads all for free, if that's all you're planning to use youtube premium for

Can confirm this worked, I did it two days ago. £1.71 a month! I basically bought an Apple gift card from Amazon India using a VPN and redeemed on my freshly created Apple ID, saying I live in India with a UK number (redeemed code via Apple music app on Windows). Then used an Apple device to subscribe to YouTube premium via the app. Will top up 2 years worth in a few days (£41 quid). Also I used a random McDonald's Indian address in Delhi 🤣
