Help please : wget: not an http or ftp url:

Hi,

I am trying to install a script by using putty to telnet to box. My other enigma 2 box works fine with the script. It's to install iptv service. But on this box dm800 it fails with this message.

wget: not an http or ftp url: (then the link)

Can anyone help to get this to install

Hi, you will both need to update your image to get the script run. The problem is that wget is on an old version and doesn't support https://.
Update to a newer and later image and you will find that wget should support https:// and the script will run

im running Wooshbuild 5 (latest version), changed my script slightly and it runs now.....but as it tries to install all the lines, in says file not found next to every line ?

I would look carefully at any instructions that your provider has given you.

I would guess that you are getting that error because it is adding the custom areas for epgimport and you don't have that installed??

I had a similar problem all be it not with the Wooshbuild but it was an old build and I had to update mine to get it to work as the version I updated my image to supported the newer version of wget which supports https://
