Mode not supported on tv through HDMI?

Hi,

Just recieved my F5S box.

Plugged it into my Samsung TV with hdmi, turned it on and it says 'Mode Not Supported' The resolution is apparently not supported.. my tv is 1080p.

Is this box broken or something? :(

Just saw it flicker a little bit on the screen.

Bet it's a dodgy HDMI :(

Try a new HDMI.Failing that try pressing the blue button on the remote a few times.That changes the resolution settings on the Skybox,might pick something up. Or use a scart lead till you suss it out.

I had this ONLY if you sent to 60hz and not 50hz

You could try pressing the V Format button twice (press once & then again within 5 seconds). This will change the TV format to the next resolution on the list. Wait around 10 seconds. If no change, press twice again & wait 10 seconds. Keep doing this until you find a resolution that works (I think there are around 12).

You could try connecting a composite lead (yellow phono [RCA] socket) or scart lead to see if you get an output on that. If so, go to menu > system setup > TV System. Choose a video resolution that gives an HDMI output.
