Hey guys..
New to the forum.. Have a openbox worked out how to put a line in it .. Does my box have to be online to the Internet for the channels to work? Or just have a satellite feed? If anyone could help that would be great
Thanks
The channels are still received through the dish. The purpose of the internet connection is for your provider to continuosly send you the decryption information which will let your box descramble the pay channels. HTH
Your V8s needs a internet connection to get the line to work, make sure your connected to your router then reboot. You get the picture and sound from your dish but to unlock the subscription channels is why you need a line and your box needs to connect to the line providers servers to get the info it needs all the time.
The only channels you can get via the dish only are Free to Air like BBC 1 etc
