Hi I have an old bt youview box but keeps freezing and rebooting itself. Is there an equivalent I could buy to pause and record tv?

Plenty of used BT Humax/BT DTR - T2100 on eBay.
Probably the same model you have and can be sold on eBay as faulty because people buy them and repair and resell.
