Hi ive a 500gb usb pen drive, i cannot format in fat32, its showing only NTFS and EXFAT on it when i try to format the stick.
Is it possible to set the box to use this usb stick? because ive a 32gb stick and it works perfect on fat32

Hi sorry i dont understand.
My zgemma box isn't recognising the usb when put into the back port. The stick only comes in the two formats NTF and EXFAT. Anyway around this?

Have you tried initializing it on box

When say pen drive do you mean hard drive or usb stick

are you trying to format the usb on p.c/laptop in windows, the normal windows format to fat32 wont do above 32 gig as I understand , you are better using a third party software, I use "smartdisk-fat 32 tool", its free (goggle is useful) note I have tried to use a 250 gig usb in my box , but it would not accept it or work! so may be it has a limit on usb, so I use a 1 tb external hard drive with no issues.
cheers

500gb, it'll be a usb hard drive surely.

initialize it on the box. note, it will wipe anything on there
if openvix is used

menu
setup
system
storage devices
initialisation
select your drive
red button to initialise
wait till done
exit till out

if it is a stick its probably a fake just been looking on the bay and i've seen unbranded 512gb sticks for around £8 but for a sandisk 64gb stick its around £10 but i've seen a [h=1]HyperX DataTraveler HyperX Predator USB 3.1 Gen 1/USB 3.0 Flash Drive - 512 GB for a bargain price of £299.99 lol[/h]i would throw that usb in the bin or see if you can send it back

Deanmitch you my friend are a genius. That tool worked and the usb is working in the box. 500gb happy days...
Cheers

i would be wary ive seen other people say they've had one and it turned out it was partitioned or something lick that and it only lasted a couple of months i'm no expert though.

opps why not? Feck it anyways for a tenner id be happy with the half of it.
problem is that is will start causing errors just when you need it most.

Best way of checking is to put it in a PC and try copying 500MB of data to it then read it back to a different location.

he said GB not MB. If he's paid £10 for a 500GB stick it will be fake, add data as oneman says, see how much it will hold. If he's paid £10 for a 500MB stick it will be genuine, but he's paid far too much. that size will be ideal to flash an image with tho
if he's paid £10 for a usb 500GB Hard drive, the price will be about right for 2nd hand. ideal for using for recordings etc, but I don't think you can use that size to flash a box.
