VU ZERO

Strange one as went to upgrade image on vu zero to later one but its says hdd is bad , unmounted and remounted and showing ext4 r/w as normal .
2TB externally powered and says i need to REFORMAT the drive but have recordings on it.
Strange as no images are found on it or backups.
Externally powered has been used on this box for years and updated.
Looks like i will have to remove recordings somewhere else first before a reformat is done.

If its external, just disconnect it, put a USB in, initialise it and flash the device, then put the HDD back on

Yes but need to find out where all my usb devices are and could do that , my other issue will still be issue on the hdd showing error

Went through hdd as had many bad files short on time or some with no time so decided to Initialize but that has led to leaving partitions and doing image backups wanted to use the 8000 box hdd?
Does one need a pc to do a proper format on?

Update thinking because i was streaming from the 8000 with client mode on the Zero and disabled it so no channels came up .
Backup was made and Downloading new Image to box now and flashing it and restore any settings needed.

Back working on new image again and as hdd is blank i dont need it mounted on other box with no recordings in it.
