Just make sure you don't post a fix openly like it happened in the other thread and it got shut down again

if only people could remember the starview saga of years ago and paid 4 times in trying to get boxes working again when warned earlier to stay well away no one listened.i also lost out and had freesat only and never said a word of service down and funny enough working again(y)

I was just pissed as they were reccomended only to go down 4 days after input £80 there wAy but hey were sorted now

Glad you're sorted like I said it's not down to the person that recommend them to you they were or maybe still in the same boat as you

I contacted my provider last weekend (the one previously named on another thread) using the contact us facility (found using Google) and was back up and running very quickly.

I'm guessing this supplier is not returning judging by the lack of update [emoji107]

Lay off the "PM me" posts guys, if you want to contact anyone, PM them yourself.

I think he's done one as he should come to you not sell more and leave us all in the dark

The server I am with has just gone off line is they some one who could pm me with a fix

sounds like to many people want they cake and eat it. your buying something with no guarantee what so ever and could go at any time. Look at the people who buy 24 month guaranteed rubbish.

most servers in the last month have gone due to dyndns banning accounts (i posted this already) if any server wanted to get back up and running to paid customers. he would simply send a email out saying
same username password etc but change blau.blau to mynewdns.whatever. the guy i use has 3 in place from diff company's so it takes 5 mins to read a email and update

it sounds like to me by the many posts in a week, is more than a dns problem. As stated i got a email from the said site and have never in my life been on it. so must be from a site/board im on

people who then try and get money back from charge backs can possible do this but open yourself to more problems as could be looked into what you brought and how you brought it.

myself have used a guy for 4 years. was down for 10 mins once as a power cut. did i moan? NO did i cry and email NO

when i first joined a cs site it was £20 a month or £120 a year and even if went after 5 months I've had more than money's worth with all channels i can pick when my mood takes me

so you paid £30-£50 i guess for a year? in most cases? thats 99p a week

swallow it, move on , lessons learnt and all that [emoji106]

100% mate!!!

thats why some cases stay away from resellers who take a small percentage of a line or bulk buy. Most sell silly prices and run after 6 months

chat to a server..... not a middle man who prob doesn't know about dns, oscam, csp, Mulitcs set ups or how to check routers ect

It's a case of taking caution to who you by from whatever 99p a day week or so on but when you chuck a hundred here and there to them then get blown out with no email it's better to be honest and just say we got problems if we can fix we will if not we're sorry at least you get communication not just to be told nothing or hold on we're sort it

The problem with this seller is;

1) lack of comms. Closing his email contact off was never a good sign and the reason behind it, I dont buy. (Too many emails being received) Some people get hundreds of emails a day to these free gmail accounts.

2) dns issues. Surely that shouldn't take 2 weeks to fix. 2 days maybe. Even starting from scratch and building a new server could be done in that time.

3) sounds like he's done a runner going by the above. He had a good setup so must have known what he was doing at some point, unless he got someone else in that done the setup and is now stuck for ideas. If you paid £15 or £25 for a few days service then it's the gamble you take could happen again.

Can anyone pm me what actually happened with this server i think im on the same one and they asked for my old line details

I think this post has come to an end there is no news apart from the same old news who ever paid for a line from these scammers gave list out time to move in buy a new line and enjoy what we can when we can

The member who recommended this server to me specifically stated that it was NOT his operation. He was merely recommending someone...

So how come his username name here was exactly the same as what appeared on paypal? coincidence? I think not.
The guy was clearly trying to cover his own back in case something like this happened... but he slipped up in a few places.
Multiple websites could be attributed to him but have since been took down bar the one asking people to get a months sub from someone else who I highly suspect is the same guy. Same amount of servers/ had problems around the same time etc.

From doing a lot of digging around it appears others have had there issues resolved whilst some are left in the lurch.

I know his name (could be an alias, but doubt it), his hometown etc etc.

Can I name and shame or is that a no no?
