Premium Channels not working because of TalkTalk?

Haven't read the whole thread but in a post in the first page he said it's working at his friends house so it has to be a problem with his cables or internet surely? Wouldn't need to reflash the box
 
Yeah I've already checked safe mode and it was turned off.

I've tested Signal Finder and Tuner A is on 64%, which I presume means there's no issues with my sky dish / signal.

I'm no expert & may be wrong but I think signal should be at least 75%

hi guys , is there any progress on this matter , my sons s2 with whooshbuild just stopped decripting , hes on talktalk i checked the line was active by taking it to my house and it worked , i took my box with my line on it to his and it didnt work , hes replaced the router thinking it was that but no change , EGP updates, plugins can be downloaded i cant see on the router setup screen where to change the dns , it looks like a different firmwhere from the old router , i have even changed the image still no luck
 
Try using the IP address of the server in the line instead of the name of it. You can get the ip address by opening a windows command prompt and typing:

ping line_servename_here

and press enter. This should then give you the IP address. You can then replace line_servername_here with the IP address.

eg.
CWS = 135.54.75.212 port username password 01 02 03 04 05 06 07 08 09 10 11 12 13 14

And try that. Doesn't always work.

Maybe get a test line from the request thread and see if that one works.

I have been with TalkTalk for years and not had any issues with lines I have used. Everything is turned off in my talk talk account.

Cheers wooshman i have changer the addy to an ip , re installed v5 ,tested it on my VM internet and its all running great so ill try it on my sons talktalk connection and let you know the results

I've had the same issue.. I've taken the box to another house and works perfectly fine.. glad to hear I'm. It the only person having issues..
 
Yes, nothing happened. Worked perfectly at the other house. I'm convinced talk talk have done something but what? Haha

Cheers for the update & im pretty new at this trying to get server IP address but struggling, could you explain how to get it please
 
If you Google DNS to ip address there is a few sites that will do it for you
