More channels gone

What's the general feeling iptv or cable?

I can get both, cable would just mean buying a new box, but hopefully I can reclaim some costs by putting the h2s on fleabay

Right, no cable in my area and I have an F5 box. What is my best option. People are suggesting iptv. Do I need to buy a new box for this and does it work similar to my current box via a link to the a skydish?

Yeah the dark side seem to be winning at the moment, think I'm gonna wait and see before committing to iptv, had a few test lines and tbh no better than kodi, no cable where I live so options limited

You don't need to commit to it. You can just buy a 1 month sub for £5ish and try it out. Most people already have at least one device around the house that can run it anyway, even if it's just a laptop.

What do you mean by cable in your area?? Looking to upgrade from my open box and fairly new to all this and hoping to upgrade so I can get sports channels

I've never used it unless you count the free streams available on Kodi. I have bought a 3 month sub from an Ebay seller to try today and I can send the details of that over if it's decent. It does seem to be bit more awkward and restrictive than SAT CS was though.

Never.... ever, ever buy anything like that off eBay sellers. You might get lucky but chances are you'll regret it.

eBay seller that should be fun for a few days [emoji41]

If it doesn't work then you get your money back through PP buyer protection so no risk of loss whatsoever. The seller won't dare dispute your claim so they can hopefully stay under the radar.

That is more than I can say for a lot of independent sellers who only deal with bank transfer and BitCoin. I was personally scammed by one such seller from this forum.

I would guess most use family and friends payment which i think has no comeback ?

Exactly! So what exactly is the buyer gonna report to PayPal when they make the dispute.

Like I said they could be lucky and get a decent provider but history shows that buying anything along those lines from fleebay is a bad move.

They work on low price and high volume which in turn gives a crap service.

My sky and cable sub were due for renewal yesterday.
I renewed my cable sub, but decided I'd had it with sky... lucky or what?

No of course they don't, they use the standard checkout system. Requiring friends and family payment on Ebay would get you banned.

I can honestly say I've had less problems than I've had with independent sellers who use forums/their own websites etc. That's actually why I jumped to using Ebay instead.

Well there's not much point in debating over what's better or not.

It's each to their own and if people want to use an auction site for those sort of things then that's up to the individual.

Virgin/blue yonder never laid any cables in the ground, as my property is in a rural area so only option for me is sky!!!
