Wooshbuild Support Thread

Hi thanks for sorting config now running 1.051 downloaded like a dream, but at my wits end with my newcamd list file. For some reason it stopped working last week. I know all about the dark channels but there are still some channels left that are handy. My provider says the line is still active. He told me to cmd ping a script he sent me so I did and it came up with request timed out 4 times. He said there is something wrong with my isp. Afraid i only know the basics on a laptop so I wouldn't know where to start to solve this problem. Ive also messed about with cams trying them in different folders I fear I might have cocked them up now also. Would be much appreciated if someone could point me in the right direction. Its driving me mad. thankyou.

If you cannot ping the server then it is either that you are not using ping correctly or your ISP has blocked the IP address of the server in which case any amount of tinkering will not fix your problem. If it really is a case of your ISP blocking the server, then your only 2 options are to forget about your newcamd.list file or change ISP.

WB Config - remove iptv, or remove plugins -> extensions -> xtreamTV - but will only show if your iptv cam from certain providers.

Focus on it how? Any box can run IPTV, it is just a case of finding a provider and adding it as per their instructions.

You can increase system memory by removing unused plugins and skins as previously posted in this thread. Each box WooshBuild is on is made for that specific box excluding a couple and at present WB Config if being updated for all boxes and WB versions 5 and 6.
Hi mate I'm just getting quite confused with iptv on wooshbuild, I don't want the xrream tv I just want it on a bouquet next to all channels or somewhere as in the picture, but does the coding come from the iptv supplier or can it all be done through putty, many thanks

Your question is one for a new thread nollie I am afraid as it isn't WooshBuild related. If you cannot ping your providers server it could be blocked by your isp but is unusual.

Hi mate I'm just getting quite confused with iptv on wooshbuild,

When everyone understands that IPTV is available on any image it will become easier, IPTV isn't a WooshBuild thing.

IPTV is added to your box by contacting an IPTV provider. They will tell you what you need to do to add it to your box. This can be in the form of the xtreamTV plugin, M3U, bouquet or a plugin which installs the bouquets and all of them normally require you follow the providers instructions, normally using putty / telnet.

WooshBuild has no limitation on which provider you can use, they just need to be able to help you add it to your box.

Hi,

Bit of a strange one, but since updating my H2S to the latest Whoosh and WBConfig, when I delete a recording it still shows the memory as being used on the HDD. I've checked all the settings and made sure any unwanted cache is deleted in time shift etc., but it still shows the memory as taken. Even a restart doesn't work.

However, when I do my once a week blue button software updates and the box restarts, then the memory on the HDD seems to reset itself to what should be free.

Any suggestions?

Thanks.

Can anyone give me a bit of advice on freeview channels
I have been running Wooshy's build v5.03 since it came out. Since the demise of Sat channels, I have been using it effectively as a freeview box. For some reason, 3 or 4 channels (ITV 3 and 4 etc) have closed padlocks next to them as if there were relying on the c line for decryption. These are free to air channels but are not displaying.
Any idea how to correct this?

Try running the Fta only mode again

Thanks Gentoo. Can you post a link as I view this forum from an iPhone and the post numbers are not present. Appreciate your help !

From full screen TV:
Green button -> AutoBouquets E2 -> Menu button -> Change "Scan mode" to FTA only -> Press the OK button three time to scan.

Once done your EPG will only contain Freesat channels and any custom bouquets you may have made (IPTV for example)

To go back to how it was it is the same as above but change the scan mode to "Available HD"

Hi have added iptv onto my epg every morning it disappears and I need to 're add seems to be after it's updated anyway of stopping it

It depends where you have put it. If you have copied channels to satellite bouquets they will be removed when an ab e2 scan happens as the iptv channels aren't part of that bouquet.
