seen it all before, think Sky V Discovery channels about a year or so back
VM also lost Sky One and Sky News a few years ago due to disputes over pricing, it all worked out in the end.

UKTV don't want to take the 'huge cut in fees' that Vm are suggesting.
They also don't want to lose the millions of customers VM are providing

I remember sky taking sky1, off virgin over security issues back in 2006.
If i was paying what virgin charge I would be a little upset..

It's a bit of a gamble on Virgin's part but most people are bone idle and although the armchair warriors on Twitter and Yahoo are up in arms and threatening to leave, most of them won't, in fact I'd say hardly any of them will over what are essentially freeview channels anyway.
The advertisers will all be negotiating new deals with UKTV to reflect the fact that they will be watched by 40% less viewers, and this is what matters - money.
UKTV will soon realise that advertising revenue losses will far outweigh what Virgin are offering

Couldn't agree more but Dave.Drama is on on Freeview. Yet customers as per usual will pay more for less..

I recently put a 2nd gen stick in the kitchen.. I use a Tv app for freeview. I had to register with email. password etc. Then 90 seconds of ads to watch itv.. wonder if virgin customers are aware of the changes

So Sky Sports Mix is going to be on channel 131? - what about those who haven't taken a sports package? - they get a sky sports channel free in place of W+1?

sky sports mix is the same on sky, you get it even if don't have sports package, or used to be.

there are 3 sports channels going into the 'entertainment' section which does seem strange

quite happy to see C&I HD, i watch that all the time but didn't see the HD channel in the listings, although to be fair, I've never looked

Im confused I have found Dave SD working via alternatives. Dave HD is on 652 (652 doesn't work) goto the channel then press down button for channel selection then red for all and check dave SD





I cant seem to find a channel number though as my CVS file says 235 but I have no 235 im my channel list

Ok so Dave, Drama and Really working on numbers less than 100

Drama = 18
Dave = 19
Really = 29

All SD



For testing I have edited sections in the providers file by adding Misc bouquet starting at 001

You might find Alibi and others work on sat so they would need to change alibi cable to alibi sat to continue working on iptv.

This may be the prelude to the end of cardshare---don't scoff.
The channels replacing the UKTV ones have agreed to VM's fee requirements giving VM extra cash and impetus to speed up with its' final phase---blanking out your screens.

i see the newer channels in my bouquets, but nothing happens when you try watching them, is this the same for everyone? or do you need to do something to get them working, I use a zgemma h32tc if that makes any difference.

usr/lib/enigma2/python/plugins/systemplugins/AutoBouquetsMaker/providers, save a copy of the original. xml incase of errors and send in edited file then rescan ABM.

I assume you also need to create the misc bouquet or does ABM generate it automatically?
