Hi

I was wondering if anyone new of an app I can use on an MXQ box running Kodi
that will look like the menu of a Mag box when running IPTV ?

I have seen a thread about digitalstb but for some reason it won't play on my box.

Have tried a couple of other apps but can't find another like this.

Program will download but just kicks me out when trying to load.

Does anyone know of any others ?

I just want to put in a Mac address and URL if possible.

cheers

Can't get that working either for some reason.

Put in the URL and Mac address it gives you but the channels don't open.

Did you get the mac address from the menu ?

Tried another app and it gave me a different Mac address to STB Emu.

I thought the Mac address was unique to the hardware and didn't change.

Will give it another go in case I have mis typed something.

Did you download it off play store ?

What are you using it on ?

No still just a black screen.

Put my web address in the top box in the portals,

I don't need to click on the inner portal button or type it in the internal portal box do I ?

No I just edit the example portal already there in settings and save it, restart the app after mac address entered in portal and it boots up.
Are you editing the existing one or creating a new one? if creating a new one when on main screen select settings then profiles and change to the new one.

Yeah, I have just created a new profile, give the Mac address to the server
and entered the URL in the top box.

The app is working as I can enter all the menus, just blank screen

when on the black screen have you pressed menu and selected "profiles" and then selected the new profile you created as it will default to the original one if you dont select it manually?

It doesn't have a default one, when I loaded the app it said it was running for the first time so did
I want to create a profile.

It may be the version of Kodi i'm running as everything else looks Ok

Yes thats possible as I don't use Kodi at all, sorry can't help any further, maybe your supplier has a kodi extension? Although I do like the mag interface and menus.

OK thank's for confirming what I'm doing is correct may try loading a more up to date version of Kodi
on the box if I can't find a similar app.

Loosing the plot. Kodi has nothing to do with it :grin::grin:

My android version is 4.4.2 and it needs 4 or above to run so it should work.

Put the line back on an E2 box and it's definatly live.

Giving up for tonight, before it goes through the window :grin::grin::grin:

As gmangt4 says you can use stbemu pro to emulate the interface of a mag box.
I'm using it now on my android box using 4.2 software.
The pro version gets rid of ads.
You have to use the virtual mac within the app and not the actual app of physical device.

Is your IPTV line setup to use a MAC as a some providers only allow a line to use either a MAC or M3U connection but not both.

Also is the URL you are using end with /c or /c/

My server can do scripts to load with putty,
MAC lines, M3U files and Config files to run using Xtream

You get a mini control panel so you can switch a line to any variation

to run a line using a MAC address you just enter your MAC address in the panel and it
gives you a URL it doesn't end in c its just like iptv.bestserver.com

I have used it on a Mag box and it works fine, I have also used putty and the config file for Xtream
but haven't needed the M3U file.

Just liked the look of the Mag boxes menus and the simplicity of the setup so thought I would try it out on an
android box I have got knocking about.

Don't mind buying the pro version but I might be wasting my money if the free one doesn't work.

I've got a feeling it's down to virtual MAC address as another app assigned me a different one and maybe that causes a connection problem
at the server end.

On MAG boxes the MAC address is just printed on the bottom of the box.

Not sure how to find the android boxes actual MAC address.

mac address you use is the one the app gives you when you first open it.
