6.1 software updates

Hiya guys

In need of a bit of help

Ive been running 6.1 for a while now with no problems. Ive been away for 2 weeks and there was a load of software updates to run so I run them and all seemed ok. But Ive found I cant connect to the box whether it be via the network ftp or putty.
Is there a problem with running the updates, which wont let the box connect or is it me. Cos Ive tried all sorts to try and get it going, but its just not happening

The updates have killed it. There's a thread by Grog68 somewhere about it.

Now why does that not surprise me.
Now to find a backup I made earlier - would help if I labelled all my backups so I had a clue what they were, I will learn

6.1 is still beta it's not ready to go yet

Just didnt know if I had buggered it up with turning my box and internet off thats all.
Flashed a backup now, so alls good. Will try to fight the urge not to run updates until its fixed :)

don't you have to use 6.1 (or 5.3) if you want to use mgcamd?
previous post said it didn't work with 6.0

Dont know if anyone as run the software updates since, but just done a fresh install of 6.1 and it seems to be fixed
