Aaaaaaarrrrrgggghhhh tuner failed on sky channels!!! Help

Hi all,

i have put put a new box in upstairs but cannot get lock on sky sat
get and can watch FTA channels though ???

Keep getting tune lock error and tune fail?

When I go in service and sat finder does not get signal no matter what I do?

there is only 1 cable in tuner a and I have turned off tuner B


Tried changing skin but nothing!!!!
totally doing my fruit in

I am on vix using bluehd and fraggle skin

any ideas please
 
what happens when u go into menu setup service Search then tuner config.
is the sat set up for your sat.
If it is do a automatic scan and see if it finds channels

If it's not finding chans then it may be the feed from your sat dish that's faulty ..may be loosing signal on the feed

Changing skin will have no affect.

I would try another box upstairs see if it works if it does then it's your box thats got problem.
If it does not work and doing the same thing then it has to be feed from lnb...

That's all I can think off sorry it's not much help...

I've had this a few times recently - but usually just after or during rain... So have put it down to water ingress in one of the cables or cable connections to the LNB. Works fine on one tuner but other feed plays up when wet outside. Works fine again when the weather is better.

Really should check the cable ;-)

Have you ran ABM?

Had this a lot recently, different things seemed to fix it, one box could not pick up V channels but H channels, try changing the transponder in sat finder to H or V and see if one works, also I had to run Autoboquets 28.2E as ABM would not tune to the channel that gave the info....

Have you downloaded the openuk sly providers?

It it is a brand new cable installed tonight!

i am getting FTA channels fine, just no sky ???

i presume is faulty LNB ?
will try re-flash tomorrow and see what happens.
