Access a shared drive/folder?

Hi sorry if this is the wrong place for this....

I recently got a Cloud iBox 2plus and i have to say its looking good so far for sky but it also has TS Media 7.99 and nothing seems to work on there so i have no idea if its set up correct?

Also as the title suggests i have also been told i can access a shared drive/folder on my pc through TS Media, can anyone help me? both are connected through the same router (BT Home Hub 3).

use dcc or filezila to connect to your drive from pc

for tsmedia a lot of content you need a good proxy to view them

ok i have filezilla installed and i think i have the ip of the cloud ibox in, how do i share a drive or folder please?

For tsmedia update to 8.7 and use vidics.

Open tsmedia
tools
software update. Run til says no more updates

right i have done that, now version 8.8 there is now a block named "Desktop" but still not able to access my pc?

Sorry dude. I was just recommending the update to watch vidics in the movies section. Ive never used network mounts. U can ftp any films to the movies foldrr on box to watch but id guess thats not what ur after. Sorry I can t help

was it not something like nfs and samba for mounts,samba for windows and nfs for linux boxes.

it is a cifs mount point in the network mount points.

Can you not put them on a USB pen and watch on the box?

i can put them on a usb and watch them on my tv, but as i was told you could watch them through tsmedia by having a shared drive or folder on pc

you don't do it through ts media you have to create a network mount point. see my guide here
