Adding HDD to ZGemma Star 2s box

Hi,

I want to add a bigger HDD to my box so I've bought an external 500gb hdd (with power lead) now im aware there are a few guides on how to add the drive itself but how am I meant to format it? FAT32 and how due to the size?

you will need to go into setup, storage and initialise the drive, the software will sort out the format for you. when done reboot and make sure your epg points your recordings to media/hdd, you may also need to create a swap file.

ahhh ok easy as that? I thought i had to format in fat32 first for some reason.

that's usually just when your flashing the box for a new / update image to prepare the usb stick in fat 32.
