All Sky channels frozen

Hi everyone. I've been using my Zgemma for two months with no problems.
I advised my brother to buy one from Amazon because I got mine from there, with 12 month free gift etc.
So he's just set his up, all of the freeview channels are working, but all of the Sky etc just freeze.
The only difference when we search through our menus is in the Ccam server info.
Mine says something.
My brothers is blank.
Does this mean he hasn't received gift?
Or is there something we could try to get this box working?

Probably best to edit your post where you've put mines says details.
Have a look in usr/keys/ newcamd.list I could be another type of line that's being used.
If nothing there either, you've been fleeced and will need to get a connection toon for the box. You'll find that in the general sat section once you've done a bit of reading
 
Gareth is correct. Could using Mgcamd 1.38 with a N line.
Also have you started the soft cam. Blue button. Also press enable on startup.

When you say usr/keys/newcamlist
Where will I find that?
Also how do I find the line?
Is there a sticky somewhere that I can have a read up on?

When you press the blue botton on the remote and go to soft cams what softcams are in there and are they running?
 
Menu /plugins / download plugins / soft cams / mgcamd 1.38 and cccam2.3.

If you line details have been entered in the box than one of these should work.
You may need to restart box after installing cams.
 
To check if your line details are in you need a program called filezilla which you can download from here. https://filezilla-project.org
Then you need to FTP Log into your box.
You need
IP of your box
User = root
password = leave blank
port =21

If successfully logged in you will see all the files of the box.

Go to usr/keys and see what is in there.

The ones you mentioned are not on the list only Ccam 221 and mgcam135a.
 
That means they are already installed.
Go to menu/plugins remove plugins. sofcams and see if the are there. Don't remove them

Put the box on a sly channel thats scrambled.
Press blue button on remote.
Go to soft cam manager press ok.
You should see the the two soft cams there.
Start cccam and see if it works.
Bear in mind it takes a few second to kick in. If that doesn't work stop it.
Then try mgcamd.

The Ccam was already ticked but we stopped it and tried again but didn't work.
Tried mgcam but still nothing.
I've downloaded the file you mentioned.
How do I find the ip of the box?
Is it the internet provider?
 
Yes. it should work without password. Or try dreambox

Hi, I have got the same problem, I have checked the cam in usr/key and CCam and the line is there ok. I've tried CCam and msgcam but still frozen
 
Well I would guess they are both dead! And also guess the boxes came with lines already set up, because if you had installed the lines you would know how to fix your issues
